Ambition

A quote scribbled in the back of my sketch book:

I love Monet. Rather I love the way he saw and shaped the world around him.

I recall that Monet was one of my favourite just before and into the first couple years of artschool. No doubt he was the inspiration for that style of brushwork I was chastised for early in second year.

But I’m not bitter.
