I'll admit this was an art school piece so I've come a long way in the past decade, but there is a feeling of openess and playfulness in this early painting that I'd like to hold onto in my work. I don't often get a chance to see my older work in the flesh, so it's useful for me to look at paintings on the blog. To see what works and what doesn't... what I'd like to keep and where I want to go with it next. It's always an evolution. Some painters say they feel like they are painting the same painting over all their life, but that isn't for me.

I'm also happy to see some people from Newfoundland are starting to post! Welcome. :-)
